The fertile orchard blocks of Summerfruit Orchards Ltd nestle amongst the unique barren hills and rocks of Central Otago which shelter, retain and radiate the warmth necessary for the production of the tasty, juicy and crisp flavours unique to our climate.

Summerfruit Orchards Ltd commenced operation in 1986 as a special purpose partnership based predominantly on production and sale of export cherries, apricots, nectarines, apples and dried apricots. The business incorporated the orchards of the Weaver family on Conroy's Road and a larger block of farmland purchased from the Cameron family on Strode Road.

In 1998 an additional 200 hectares of hill country land adjoining the Strode Road block was purchased. The lower slopes of this land have been developed into apricot production with further land available for development.

In 2004 a fruit packing and coolstore complex was completed and provides operational efficiency and control over the quality produce of the orchard.

Summerfruit Orchards proudly grows Bio Gro certified organic apples and uses sustainable and environmentally responsible stonefruit production systems of Integrated Fruit Production (IFP), and Summergreen. We are NZGap (EurepGap equivalent) compliant and are registered for Tesco's Nature's Choice.
